Northern Light Prediction:

* Our predictions for this book consist of the potential for Mattie to be an accomplice to the murder and or cover up of the dead girl and the missing guy.

* Based on the hand out given to us, consisting of quotes from the book, we feel that Mattie the "innocent" farm girl, doesn't live up to the standards of a woman of her day. Women of her day are expected to be reading literature that is meant to be uplifting to the heart, and not writing "morbid" stories surrounding death.

* An example of how Mattie could be portrayed as a "worldly" woman is she could one day drop everything and abandon her family. She would be leaving all her responsibilities at home, and by being the oldest of the girls she's taken on the responsibilities of the mother. The responsibilities of it all will get to Mattie and she'll just pack up and leave in the middle of the night.
